BALD PATCHES IN LAWNS
Thursday, 3 April 2008
spring has sprung
We have had quite a dry winter, so the wet weather over the last week or so has been much needed. It has however played havoc with my schedule. Forthcoming work this month included; 2 meadows, a pond, a patio and a large planting project featured in my earlier blog. Also 2 designs completed, and hoping to build in May-June, watch this space.
JOBS IN THE GARDEN
ITS WORTH GETTING OUT IN THE GARDEN NOW AS THINGS ARE REALLY STARTING TO GET GOING, DON'T GET CAUGHT OUT.
1 TREAT MOSS IN LAWNS AND ONCE DEAD RAKE OUT AND RE- SEED, ANY REPAIR WORK IN LAWNS SHOULD BE DONE NOW. NEW LAWNS CAN ALSO BE SOWN NOW.
2 DEAD HEAD DAFFODILLS NOW BUT DON'T REMOVE LEAF TILL FIRST WEEK IN MAY.
3 REMEMBER TO CLIP EDGES AND KEEP LAWNS CUT. IF THE GARDEN GETS OUT OF HAND, THINGS WILL APPEAR TO BE A LITTLE MORE UNDER CONTROL.
4 DID YOU REMEMBER TO PRUNE YOUR CORNUS? I ALWAYS DO IT FOR EASTER AND THE BRANCHES MAKE LOVELY EASTER TREES FOR DECORATING.
